Higher International Diploma in Engineering (EduQual Level 5)

Our new qualifications in Engineering are designed to address an increasing need for high quality professional and technical education pathways at Levels 4 and 5, thereby providing students with a clear line of sight to employment or to progression to a university degree.

The Level 5 Higher International Diploma builds upon your knowledge from the Level 4 Higher International Certificate to a more advanced level.

This course progresses from the level 4 HIC and is tailored for those not looking to specialise in any specific area, but to get a well-rounded view of the subject to support in your career choice, or further education.

The course is split into 4 units. Two of these units are optional units which you can choose from an available list. The third is a core topic in Engineering Management.

The fourth unit is worth 60 credits, and is a substantial engineering project on an engineering topic.

To be awarded a Higher International Diploma in Engineering (General Engineering), you must successfully complete these 120 credits at level 5.
