Level 4 - Online Engineering Course Unit

Unit Aim

The aim of this online engineering course unit is to introduce you to the basics of electrical and electronic engineering. Engineering is a multi-disciplined description that applies accepted scientific theory to the design, development, maintenance and analysis of machines, systems, and processes. Therefore, Engineers need a broad knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering so that it may be applied to the world around them.

The Electrical section of this unit introduces you to properties and characteristics of electrical supplies and semiconductors. While the Electronic section focuses on Analogue and Digital signals, amplifiers and logic gates.

On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to employ electrical and electronic principles within a variety of engineering scenarios.
