The Diploma in Building Information Modelling is an online course designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in civil engineering and construction.
Course Information
This 40-credit program, benchmarked to UK level 5, is structured into two units:
- Introduction to Civil Engineering Projects: This unit provides a solid foundation in the principles and practices of civil engineering. Students will learn about the various stages involved in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. They will also be introduced to ethical, best practise, and legal responsibilities relevant to civil engineering.
- Building Information Modelling: This unit is focused on the use of digital technology in the construction industry. Students will learn about the concept of Building Information Modelling (BIM) software, and how it’s used to create 3D models of buildings and infrastructure in industry. They will also explore the benefits of BIM, including increased efficiency, cost savings, and improved communication between different stakeholders.

The Diploma in Building Information Modelling is designed for students who want to study online and have the flexibility to learn at their own pace. The course is delivered entirely online, with no need to attend any on-campus sessions.
